Material: Silk Blend, Satin, 5 yards of boning

Technique:

  • Trace (in illustrator) magnified bone from a picture found on the internet.
  • Laser cut  pieces of silk blend using magnified bone marrow file.
  • For top: Cut piece of satin to use as backing for the silk blend, spray fabric adhesive to silk blend and adhere to satin.
  • For bottom: Sew several silk blend pieces together on the long (24") side. These go on top of the satin for the skirt.
  • The "ribs" (on the back): Make tunnels by sewing two strips of fabric together and putting boning in them.
